Having worked with hundreds of teens as a School Counselor in a private boarding school (St. Mark's School); a Psychotherapist with the Babson College Counseling Service; and a Psychotherapist in community mental health settings and private practice in Massachusetts and New Jersey, I have years of experience with complicated and diverse teens and the issues that they face. Depending on the individual and their challenges, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), Parent Guidance, and a sense of humor to help adolescents.
I am warm, supportive, and direct, and I work hard to genuinely get each teen and to respect who and where they are. Then together we dig into where they are stuck and what might be holding them back in their relationships, in school, in making or reaching their goals, in being the best they can be.
The issues I treat include, but are not limited to:
Phobias and Panic Attacks
Grief and loss
